Uncompressed & unprocessed Sonic 3 & Knuckles OST.

Since Youtube eventually compresses their video sound I uploaded these files to   / philip-mangione-1   Please note that there is a slight background hiss coming from the synthesizer used to capture this music this is due to an internal interference, because the fact that its SUPER hard to get a hold of these types of devices with the YM2612 chip its likely I wont be able to ever get a capture of the music again. If anyone has a device that can play Midi OR .VGM files and contains the YM2612 chip and doesn't mind me borrowing it then please leave a comment and ill try to get back to you ASAP. I am SO close to recording the clearest tune of genesis games possible. This is a personal project I've been working on for years "to get the clearest most pure capture of Sonic 3&K music as possible" and I've finally done it. This feat was only possible thanks to the documentation here https://www.smspower.org/maxim/Docume... and various other contributions across the internet. Basically I took an oscilloscope and recorded the individual sine waves to painstakingly manually generate a Midi file containing all the notes of each tune. This was played back on a DAFM synth which was recorded using Creative Sound Blaster Z SE 5.1 & Audacity @ 88200hz. What most people don't realize is that the music from the Sega Genesis "And Super Nintendo for that matter" is somewhat dithered because the hardware cannot produce the clearest sound, this leads to some notes either being muted out or blended with other tunes. This project was made to preserve the music as if you were hearing it straight from the studio itself, it does not get any clearer then this. Thousands of hours was poured into this project so please enjoy. 0:00 SEGA 0:03 Title Screen "Sonic the Hedgehog 3" 0:21 File Select 2:21 Angel Island Act 1 4:33 Angel Island Act 2 6:39 Hydrocity Act 1 8:33 Hydrocity Act 2 10:19 Marble Garden Act 1 12:19 Marble Garden Act 2 14:18 Carnival Night Act 1 16:34 Carnival Night Act 2 18:49 Icecap Act 1 21:37 Icecap Act 2 24:51 Launch Base Act 1 26:54 Launch Base Act 2 28:57 Boss Act 1 "Sonic the Hedgehog 3" 31:00 Boss Act 2 "Sonic the Hedgehog 3" 32:04 Final Boss "Sonic the Hedgehog 3" 33:45 Ending "Sonic the Hedgehog 3" 33:57 Credits "Sonic the Hedgehog 3" RIP MJ 37:12 Knuckles Theme "Sonic the Hedgehog 3" 38:23 Invincibility "Sonic the Hedgehog 3" 39:05 Title Screen "Sonic & Knuckles" 39:24 Mushroom Hill Act 1 40:50 Mushroom Hill Act 2 42:11 Flying Battery Act 1 43:33 Flying Battery Act 2 44:54 Sandopolis Act 1 46:25 Sandopolis Act 2 48:01 Lava Reef 49:17 Hidden Palace 50:43 Sky Sanctuary 52:41 Deathegg Act 1 54:01 Deathegg Act 2 55:19 The Doomsday 57:11 Boss Act 1 "Sonic & Knuckles" 58:04 Ending "Sonic & Knuckles" 58:16 Credits "Sonic & Knuckles" 1:01:07 Knuckles Theme "Sonic & Knuckles" 1:01:39 Invincibility "Sonic & Knuckles" 1:02:09 Bonus Stage Blowball 1:03:51 Bonus Stage Gumball 1:04:53 Bonus Stage Slot Machine 1:06:29 Blue Spheres 1:08:43 Results 1:08:49 Azure Lake 1:10:40 Balloon Park 1:12:28 Chrome Gadget 1:14:28 Desert Palace 1:15:58 Endless Mine 1:17:54 Competition 1:19:25 Competition Results 1:20:05 Drowning 1:20:16 Game Over
