Bali not long after Covid on one of our trips. I like to think of it as before we grew up.
I’m still acting like a clueless surfer, which I pretty much still am only I don’t sound as clueless.
Double Six beach - even though so much of the action these days had moved out to Canggu. Double Six and Legian beaches are still in our hearts.
Fairfield by Marriot: Legian - One of our favorite places to stay mainly because of the lovely breakfast buffet with a pool view. The food is a mix of western and Indonesian and the flavors are wonderful.
Massage at Kuta Beach - One of the classic things to do in Bali. No matter where you go on the beach in Kuta, inevitably a lady will walk up and start rubbing your shoulders. You’ll deny it at first. Then it will start to feel good and you’ll give in at let them do it.
Warung Murah - One of the tastiest restaurants in Bali and very affordable,
This was taken when the seating area was still open to the road, before they renovated it and closed it. We liked it better before, but the food is still delicious. Double Six Road, Legian.
Canggu next to Finn’s Beach Club - Apparently this was a ceremony to honor someone recently deceased.
Long motorbike ride through Kuta and Legian - Kuta Beachwalk, Legian Road
Kuta Food Night Market - Talking with the security guard at this out of the way night market off of Jalan Sri Wijaya and trying the local food.
A Rainy Lazy Day in Legian - Looking out at the pouring rain.
Rainy Motorbike Trip to Ubud - it was a very wet ride so we stopped to get Kacang Hijau on the way close to Ubud. It’s a sweet mix of green lentils, red rice, brown sugar, and maybe condensed milk. They probably put other ingredients in it too, but I don’t know all of it.
