A journey through rain-soaked Lorestan, Iran—from flood warnings and vehicles stuck in mud to a storm-battered campsite and a railway carved through the Zagros Mountains. In this travel documentary, we head to Sepiddasht and its lush surroundings to camp and explore. But relentless rain changes our plans. Muddy roads, thunder and lightning, soaked clothes, and the struggle to keep our shelter standing become part of the journey. Along the way, a chance meeting with Mr. Eskandari, a welcoming local guide, takes our trip in an unexpected direction. With his help, we discover the landscapes of the Sezar River, nearby villages, waterfalls, and local life. When the weather finally clears, we explore Sepiddasht’s remarkable railway bridges, tunnels, and famous three bends. Beyond the scenery lies another story: the extraordinary effort behind the railway through the Zagros, and the people who lost their lives building it. 🎬 Travel, nature, and history in the heart of Lorestan 🌍 Persian and English subtitles: turn on CC and select your language.
