There was a jewelry company that sold ten million bracelets a year. It was valued at a billion dollars, its founder was on the cover of Forbes, it ran a commercial during the Super Bowl.
Then one night in 2023, it closed twenty-one stores and its own headquarters at once. Seven locations were left standing.
The bracelets didn't stop being pretty. What ran out was the supply of new customers who didn't yet know what the bracelets were made of. Once enough people learned, the machine stopped.
That's what robbing you blind actually looks like. Not a mugging. A design.
🧾 ONE PIECE OF EVIDENCE FIRST: one brand in this video sells a stone it calls "DiamondAura" — at "priced at $299, yours for $39" — in the magazines that arrive in your mailbox every month. The company's own glossary says what DiamondAura is: a laboratory-created substitute for a diamond, made of zirconium oxide. That's cubic zirconia. With a name that sounds like a diamond and a price that was invented on the page.
Every name in this video is new — none of them appeared in my earlier "brands to never buy" videos.
