Antonball Deluxe (PC) - (Antonball | 1cc | Longplay)

Hello again folks, as promised from our poll we have Antonball! What happens when you fuse alleyway, mario bros., wario's personality and add in some of the moves from DK 94'? Then you have antonball deluxe. The trailer is what caught my eye for this game because it was pretty funny, how can you say now to a trailer that says "are you ready to play with your balls?" Anyways the game in a nutshell is alleway but instead it's a platformer. It has the sound effects and even the bonus stage is the same thing. Though antonball just makes it much faster by adding in power-ups such as a gun to clear the blocks and even more balls to make clearing stages faster. It also adds in enemies which adds more to the challenge of protecting your balls. The wario-like aspect is basically anton's personality and that shoulder bash (or clutch as the game calls it.) There's a total of 5 environments that you have to clear, fudge mountain is probably the most hazardous stage since all 5 stages have slippery platforms (it's even worse in punchball.) Once all 5 stages of an environment is finished a bonus stage will play then an intermission (kinda like pac-man but it has anton making fun of brulo's divorce.) Once you've reached the final stage, it then throws you a boss to beat aka a mole in a tank. Hit it three time and anton gets blasted out of a window only to fall back in the sewers, poor guy can't catch a break. This is the 2nd best thing to Annalynn if you're looking for classics 80s arcade action. The game is very generous with lives as well since doing combos is pretty easy and you can rack an easy 1600 or 4800 even once you've hit the ball power-up that unleashes more balls. Though be careful, about the enemies since one touch means losing all of your balls on the screen (same goes for the other hazards such as pits and the spiked blocks in boiler city.) A stage can go by quick or slow if you manage to juggle all your balls or use the gun to your advatange to get more balls. Music is pretty catchy, definitely has that simple arcade vibe to it. If you loved the simplicity of Annalynn then Antonball is a must play as well. It nails the look and feel of an early arcade title in the 80s only with more color and expressive characters.
