ALARM BELLS AT UAE! TEAM ADMITS CLASH WITH POGAČAR — DEL TORO INJURED — ROGLIČ TO VISMA?

Isaac del Toro revealed knee pain and jet lag before Gran Piemonte, raising questions about his condition ahead of Lombardia on Saturday. He was still able to attack on La Morra and spend time ahead of the bunch, but that performance doesn't establish whether the discomfort has gone. We examine what Del Toro said before the race, how his effort unfolded and what remains unknown about his recovery. There is no confirmed diagnosis in the statements discussed here, and we cannot attribute his result entirely to those physical problems. His sensations after competing will be important when assessing his prospects for the final Monument. We also look at Mauro Gianetti's account of UAE's disagreement with Tadej Pogačar over the European Championships. Pogačar wanted to compete in Slovenia, while the team's medical staff considered the risks following his collarbone fracture too high. Gianetti says he accepted the decision reluctantly. We discuss that tension and the challenge of balancing a champion's ambitions with the advice guiding his recovery. Finally, Primož Roglič's European time trial title has brought attention to his future. His remarks afterwards left his plans for 2027 unresolved, although he expressed the hope of wearing his European champion's jersey in competition. A return to Visma has appeared in transfer speculation, but his comments do not confirm a reunion. Tudor and Lotto-Intermarché have also featured in reporting, leaving questions about where he will race and what role would suit him. What do you expect from Del Toro at Lombardia? Was UAE right to hold Pogačar back? Would Roglič returning to Visma be the right move? Share your opinions below, like the video and subscribe to Cycling World.
