Date Filmed: 6 August 2026
So As The Circle Line Stage 6 Have Made Into It's Passenger Service, I Wanted To Actually Decided To Explore The Circle Line Stage 6 Section Design But Due To The Staff and Guards In The Ticket Gates, I Decided To Only Filmed The Elevators Since When I Explore The New Areas, I Might Get Stopped By The Recording Due To Some Safety Reason and Concern About What Happened. But To Not Feel Bad About It, I Have More Things To Show Out.
Since The Circle Line Stage 6 Has Finally Opened, The Circle Line Has Finally Become The Real Circle. So To Celebrate It Off, I Have Choosen To Visit Prince Edward Road. The Prince Edward Road MRT Station Is One Of The Three Newest MRT Station In Singapore, Which Is Opened For Passenger Service Since 12 July 2026 But I Didn't Have The Time To Go Since I Have Some Stuff Busy Which I Could Finally Go Now As Usual.
The Prince Edward Road MRT Station Is Build Along The Central Business District, Which Is Also Known Near The Shenton Way Area. This Place Is Also Near To The Shenton Way Bus Terminal, Which Can Be Use With Exit Number 2. The Other MRT Station If You Don't Go To Prince Edward Road MRT Station Can Be Tanjong Pagar & Shenton Way MRT Station On Their Respective East West & Thomson-East Coast Line.
Before I Actually Have Said More, The Prince Edward Road MRT Station Is First Said In 2015 With Construction Started From 2017. The Prince Edward Road MRT Station Is Between Cantonment and The Existing Marina Bay MRT Station Which The Prince Edward Road MRT Station Will Complete The Full Circle Loop Which Would Help To Shorter Travelling Times In The Areas Of Singapore. The Previous Section Was The Circle Line Extension In 2012.
What Is Special About The Prince Edward Road Is That The Station Is Designed With Stacked Platforms, Which Includes The Upper and The Lower Platform. The Upper Platform Of The Prince Edward Road MRT Station Serves The Anti-Clockwise Heading Towards Via Marina Bay Direction While The Lower Platform Serves The Lower Platform Of The Prince Edward Road MRT Station Serves The Clockwise Heading Towards Via Harbourfront Direction.
The Upper Platform Is At The Basement 2 While The Lower Platform Is At The Basement 3. The Other Platforms Were Covered By Wall, Maybe For Future Line I Guess So Maybe Wait For Time When It Happens Very Soon But Not Very Close For Now Since The Planning Of The Future MRT Line Could Be In The 2040s Onwards.
The New Circle Line Stage 6 Would Feature New KONE Elevators, Which Would Help To Ensure To Have Bigger Buttons For The People Who Needed The Elevator More. The KONE Elevators Were Also Being Installed With Cantonment MRT & Prince Edward Road MRT Which Would Be Use In Another Video In Order To Save The Storage For Some Reason. The Escalators Would Also Be Operated By KONE As Well But I Didn't Filmed It Because Lift Is More Interesting.
One Thing That I Have Noticed Is That The KONE Elevator Have Decided To Said The AI Version Like: "Please Give Way To Those In Need." Instead Of "Show Your Care By Giving Way To The Elderly, Or Parents With Young Children Who Need The Lift More. A Little Consideration Makes A Difference." Everytime When I Pressed The Call Button After The Button Sound Got Beep When I Was About To Ride The Elevators Along The MRT Station.
Before Actually The New CCL6 Stations Were Being Opened, The Previous MRT Station To Open Was Hume MRT Station Which Was Opened For About One Year and More Then That Already As The Time Passes Too Fast. The Next Few Projects Which Bedok South, Xilin & Sungei Bedok Would Only Be Ready In Few Months Time But Most Likely To Equipped KONE Elevators In Another 2026.....................
Exit 1 & 2 Are Same Version:
