Prove It to Yourself | Keep the Promise

It's easy to talk about the changes we want to make. The real challenge is showing up and putting in the work, especially when nobody's watching. Prove It to Yourself is about keeping the promises we make to ourselves, recognising our progress and knowing that giving our best is something to be proud of. ❤️Phoenix Full lyrics: I used to tell the world my plans Before I'd even made a start Funny how a promise sounds When it hasn't left your heart I had a hundred things to say About the man I'd be someday Had the dates and had the dreams Had it mapped out perfectly Told my friends to watch this space Said my time was on its way But Monday came without a sound And I was nowhere to be found Had to learn the difference Between wanting and becoming Between talking about the journey And the miles you're really running There's a moment when the noise fades And the promises come due When the only one who's watching Is the person looking back at you And when the world goes quiet When there's nobody around Will you stand behind the words you said Or let them fall without a sound Give it all you've got Let your actions show You don't need the world To know how far you'll go When the road gets long And there's nobody else Keep the promise Prove it to yourself I've seen a thousand nearlys Turn into a thousand whys Everybody's got a reason Everybody's got a life And sometimes things don't work out Even when you've done your best But I'd rather know I gave it all Than live with what I never left So I stopped announcing changes Stopped rehearsing what I'd say Started making little choices That could take me somewhere great Not every day was brilliant Not every plan survived But every time I kept my word Something in me came alive And when the world goes quiet When there's nobody around Will you stand behind the words you said Or let them fall without a sound Give it all you've got Let your actions show You don't need the world To know how far you'll go When the road gets long And there's nobody else Keep the promise Prove it to yourself And if you give it everything And still don't reach the other side You haven't wasted anything At least you'll know you really tried There's a kind of quiet freedom In the things you follow through When you finally start believing In the promises you make to you One more day One more chance One more promise in your hands You don't need to see the end To begin again Give it all you've got Let your actions show You don't need the world To know how far you'll go When the road gets long And there's nobody else Keep the promise Prove it to yourself Let the days speak louder Than the things you used to say Every promise that you honour Takes you further on your way You don't owe the world an answer There's nobody else Keep the promise Prove it to yourself #ProveItToYourself #PhoenixEvans #Motivation #SelfBelief #KeepGoing #ConsciousMusic
