Racing the Darkness Home! 🤯🌙 Lake Crescent Adventure with the Begode Panther 🐆🌲

Sometimes you just have to point the wheel toward the mountains and see where the road takes you. This time I'm taking the Begode Panther on a solo sidequest all the way out to Fairholme Campground at the western end of Lake Crescent inside Olympic National Park. The Panther absolutely devours the distance, carrying me deep into the Olympic Peninsula for a scenic break beside one of the most beautiful lakes in the Pacific Northwest. After stopping for coffee, enjoying the scenery, and giving the wheel a chance to charge back up, it's time to turn around and make the journey home. For the return, we're taking the spectacular Spruce Railroad Trail along the north shore of Lake Crescent, part of the Olympic Discovery Trail, before working our way back toward Port Angeles. Instead of staying on the highway whenever possible, piecing a more scenic route through Joyce-Piedmont, Port Crescent, Salt Creek, Eden Valley, Colville, and the Elwha River Bridge before finally rolling back into Port Angeles. It's a roughly 80km / 50mi (160km / 100mi round trip) adventure through forests, coastline, mountain roads, and the incredible Lake Crescent scenery. The timing was also becoming part of the adventure. With the first fall rainstorm approaching and daylight disappearing, the goal was to make it home before the weather and darkness caught up with me. The Panther continues proving why a huge long range battery is such a game changer for exploring the Olympic Peninsula. Arriving back with 3 of 5 battery bars remaining. Long distances, remote roads, forest trails, and spontaneous detours become much less intimidating when you have this much machine underneath you. This was exactly the kind of solo adventure I love.
