The legal controversy involves the hosts of the Machong Chismisan podcast (including hosts Tito P and Makoy Pare), who drew severe public backlash for making derogatory remarks targeting Joshua "Josh" Aquino—Kris Aquino's eldest son who is diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder.
In a published episode titled "Ang Pagbabalik Ni Kris Aquino," host Tito P compared Josh to his younger brother Bimby, calling Josh "walang kwenta" ("useless") while mocking his behavior, leading to laughter among the co-hosts. The incident led to the podcast's contract being immediately terminated by The Pod Network and sparked widespread condemnation from autism advocacy groups and media figures.
