Launching “The Great Artist”: Tribute to Dr. Teejan Bai Today we proudly launch “The Great Artist” series — revived from the format we ran at DAV Public School, NTPC Dadri when I served as Principal. We begin with a heartfelt tribute to Padma Vibhushan Teejan Bai, who passed away on Sunday 5th July 2026 in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. SPIC MACAY has long enabled students to meet living traditions; I have been associated since 1998 and had the honour of hosting Teejan Bai in 2007. Her Pandavani performances profoundly influenced our students and community. On behalf of the Jagran family we pray for her soul and dedicate this opening programme to her memory.
