After using this machine over the past 5 months we have had it I have grown to really like this machine. Although, it is a Chinese made Hotpoint because yes sadly Hotpoints are now made in China, it's still very well made and is a good machine. Plus the inverter motor (which Hotpoint probably got the idea from Bosch) offers the best of both worlds of a brushed and a brushless motor. It offers that classic whirring sound and the strength of a brushed motor yet it has the quietness of a brushless (even though brushless motors are not a good option for a machine.) I am actually keen to tear this machine down and look at the internals such as the motor, spider and other critical parts of a washer (example suspension) as I am really liking this machine so far and it will be a shame when this machine reaches EOL.
