A fireplace carved into the living rock of a Cappadocian cave house, crackling on your TV for ten hours. In central Turkey, whole homes were cut by hand into the soft volcanic stone, and this hearth is part of the rock itself: a rounded arch carved into pale stone, its face still rough with the chisel marks of the hands that cut it and blackened with soot above the opening. Split logs settle into a deep bed of glowing embers, and the firelight warms the stone around them, where a hammered copper pot and an old clay jar rest in niches carved into the wall. Dim the lamps and let the old stone keep you warm.
Perfect for:
• Falling asleep
• A cozy evening in
• Reading by the fire
• Studying and quiet focus
• A warm glow when friends come over
What you'll hear:
🔥 A crackling fireplace, close and steady, the logs popping and settling now and then
No music in this one. Ten hours of fireplace sounds, nothing else.
Ads are sparse here, so the fire keeps burning once you have settled in.
Stay as long as you like; this fire never burns down. Where in the world should we light the next fire?
