When Jesus Doesn't Follow the Plan

What happens when Jesus doesn’t do what you thought He would? You prayed. You trusted. You had a picture of how things were supposed to go, and then everything went differently. In Luke 24, two disciples are walking the road to Emmaus, trying to make sense of a Messiah who didn’t follow their plan. They thought something had gone terribly wrong. But what if the problem wasn’t Jesus? What if their expectations of Jesus were too small? In this message from The Missing Messiah, we talk about disappointment, unanswered prayers, the expectations we place on God, and what it means to trust Jesus when He doesn’t follow the script we wrote for Him. Because following Jesus isn’t about knowing exactly where He’s taking us. It’s about knowing who we’re following. 🔨 CONNECT WITH THE FOUNDRY 🌐 Website: https://www.thefoundrychurch.com 👋 New Here / Connect: https://www.thefoundrychurch.com/connect 📅 Events & Sign-Ups: https://www.thefoundrychurch.com/events 🤝 Find a Group: https://www.thefoundrychurch.com/groups ❤️ Give: https://www.thefoundrychurch.com/give The Foundry Church | Burke, Virginia Guiding People to Forge a Life-Long Reliance on God.
