Mr. Ingvi Hrafn Jonsson CEO and  anchor of www.inntv.is in Iceland, had just started his monologue, opening his Thursday Hrafnathing show June 2nd, when he suffered a stroke affecting his speaking facilities. Not realizing what was happening, Mr. Jonsson persists, trying to start the show, finally succeeding in the 7th attempt. He finished his 20 minutes talking points and completed the 1 hour show, before heading home for a rest. He called his doctor, who was out of town until the next morning. He immediately ordered Mr. Jonsson to call an ambulance right away and head to the ER. Mr. Jonsson had already booked 3 guests for taping the June 3rd Hrafnathing program. Having finished that taping he was admitted to the Reykjavik ER where the stroke was diagnosed and confirmed. Mr. Jonsson´s left neck artery turned out to be 70% clogged, and was deemed the likely cause of the stroke, operated on and cleaned. Mr. Jonsson has been told to take 3 weeks off the air for rest and recuperation. He has donated the tape and related videos to the Medical department of the University of Iceland.
