But can you remind me what the mission is? I was late for the mission debrief.” “(Sighs) If you must know, after Darth Vader was captured by Hayato, Vader’s master wanted revenge against us, so he sent his top General to track us down. So the Dude decided to take the fight to Palpatine and sent us to deal with this General.” “Oh yeah…thanks for reminding me.” “You’re welcome, Syani.” Just then, the trio spot General Grievous lurking in the hallways of the Death Star. “Enemy spotted, now do you two know what to do?” “Yes! The two of us will fend off the general while you go and destroy the Death Star’s power core.” “Right, and if he’s not out by the time we meet back up, I will finish him off while you two head back to the hotel via the teleporter.” “Wait, are you sure you can finish him off in time? You could blow up alongside this place!” “And what if you are teleported back in time, are you sure you can handle a body with 4 arms?” “Well, the 4 arms are definitely an odd trade, but one I can certainly adapt to.” “I admire your confidence. Now let’s take this guy down, Syani!” “You got it!” “I wish you two the best of luck!” Starring: Reika (Taruse and BBH) and Saber (Resentone) Opponent: General Grievous (OmegaBros6, non-patched in Match 1 and AI Patched by Mod and Infernal Spectre (Nerfed) in Match 2) Stage: Darth Vader’s Stage (Zvitor and O Ilusionista) Music: Space Ship- Strut (Space Channel 5) Well, I didn’t think I’d be facing this guy again. But after fighting Darth Vader in the BDS Gauntlet, I figured why not. Now in the past, I fought General Grievous as part of my Return of the Dark Side challenge (Go see that video if you want to learn more about Grievous and maybe try it out if you want to) with Ibuki, but this time, I decided to fight him with Reika and try a different strategy against him. Last time I exploited his AI with Ibuki’s kunai and sliding grabs, but this time I took a more straight forward approach and tried cornering him with various different attacks from Reika. However, in the second fight, I fight him with his AI Patch, which had bloated stats that made him a drag to try and defeat, so I nerfed his attack and defense to what they were originally, and while these attacks still do a lot of damage, now he’s a lot easier to defeat. (I haven’t had to nerf a character since Master Geese when I fought him back then.) To defeat this monster, I had to really lock in and find openings then relentlessly combo him with Saber and use specials. Maybe I should fight the rest of Mod’s AI Patches one day as part of a gauntlet, but that’s for another time.
