Being the residence of friend and producer Maarten Hemmen, Köln became The Indien's 'home away from home'. Casper: "At several locations we wrote and recorded the songs that now make up Cologne. We feel it captures the spirit of a phase in our lives, friendship and artistic freedom. Most of what you hear was thought up in sessions, recorded on a phone or one-mic setup, taken in over dinner and drinks and recorded in bare-bones setup the same evening or next day. Nothing was subtracted from these original recordings." Amazing producer/mixer Bas van Wageningen mixed the tracks at The Basementstudio in The Hague, The Netherlands.
