Yevkaar restaurant, Margao, South Goa, October 2025

Today we four went to Yevkaar restaurant in Margao for lunch. Yevkaar is in an easy to find location in Malbhat, Margao but Google Maps sent us much past the restaurant and we had to come back. From Isidore Baptista road, turn right at the end into Malbhat. Yevkaar is in the building on the corner. Costs we paid: chonak rawa fry Rs 400, dal fry Rs 150, lachcha paratha Rs 40, palak paneer Rs 230, special veg thali Rs 350, Yevkaar special thali modso Rs 320 Jaya had dal, palak paneer and lachcha paratha. Maria had special veg thali. Roma had chonak rawa fry and Lesley had special fish thali with modso fish The huge special veg thali had papor, roti, potato kappa, pickle, salad, pulao, dal, matar paneer, radish bhaji, mushroom bhaji, raita, gajar halwa, sevaiyan kheer and sol kari. The special fish thali had fried modso, pickle, salad, rice, prawn curry, teesrio, radish bhaji, kismur, sevaiyan kheer and sol kari The food was simple and tasty, like home cooking. We had a feeling they have one North Indian and one Goan cook. To have a place where both kinds of food is good is unusual Yevkaar is a really nice place that we’d not really heard of.
