Braunschweig, also known as Brunswick, is a city in north-central Germany. On Burgplatz square, Dankwarderode Castle has art from the Middle Ages. Across the square stands the Brunswick Lion monument and Romanesque-style Brunswick Cathedral. The Braunschweigisches Landesmuseum showcases local history.
