The Kalasha Valleys are three remote mountain valleys—Bumburet, Rumbur, and Birir—located in the Chitral District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, near the Afghan border. They are home to the indigenous Kalash people, a unique ethnoreligious minority famous for their ancient pre-Islamic culture, polytheistic traditions, and vibrant festivals.
