10 Days Before My Tournament, I Played a Practice Match

Ten days before my tournament, I played a practice match to find out where my game really is. I'm James — 47 years old, from Kohler, Wisconsin. Last year I made USTA Nationals as a 3.5, competing in the 18+ bracket by choice. This season the goal is bigger: the 4.0 rating. This is Season 1 of Road to 4.0 — weekly coaching, real tournaments, and a December rating that decides whether I made it.
