Dimapur Yaongyimchen Buhu Union celebrates Phom Monyiu festival at Nagarjan, imkonglenden. The people of Phom celebrates Monyiu from April 1 to 6 every year. This is a spring festival normally observed after the sowing is done in their paddy field. This also invokes God’s blessing to have a bountiful harvest. Monyu also marks the end of winter and the onset of the monsoon season.
