Effective Finance Reconciliations With Power BI

Reconciliations are an important Finance control ensuring the completeness and accuracy of our Finance data. In this video we discuss the attributes of an effective reconciliation control and how Power BI can help us to achieve this. We work through a basic example comparing two datasets using a star schema structure and show how this enables us to drill down and identify differences. Finally we look at a more detailed example based on a Written Premium reconciliation for an insurance company. We review an example Power BI report that an company may use to perform their reconciliation.
