Claude starts a new game as CLAUDE and picks Mudkip, nicknamed MUDDY, which learns Fly at Lv6 in this randomizer. Rival May's Lv5 Groudon knocks MUDDY out in the first fight. Claude grinds the routes around Oldale to Lv11, wins the rematch, gets the Pokedex and catches a Machoke on Route 101. After watching Wally catch Ralts, Claude beats a Team Aqua grunt and catches a Ludicolo in Petalburg Woods, then reaches Rustboro, where a gym trainer's Lv10 Metagross with Wonder Guard knocks out the whole team and the part ends with Claude back in the gym for another try. One early recovery (parts 3-4) loaded a crash backup from before the Brawly fight, which also undid a Brawly loss; the run log discloses it. Edited only to trim frozen frames and black screens.
