Unplanned Train Journey! 3 Engine Breakdowns | Sukkur to Larkana on Mohenjodaro Passenger

After arriving at Rohri aboard Khyber Mail from Karachi in my previous vlog, I unexpectedly discovered that Mohenjodaro Passenger was standing at Sukkur Railway Station. Since I needed to reach Larkana to catch a bus back to Karachi, I decided to change my plans and take this local passenger train. I hired a rickshaw for PKR 300 and urged the driver to hurry before the train departed. We crossed the mighty River Indus via the historic Lansdowne and Ayub Bridges and drove through Sukkur city. Thankfully, I reached Sukkur Railway Station in time, purchased my ticket for just PKR 275, and boarded the train! But the adventure was only beginning. A unique, first-of-its-kind free train, the colourful Jamalo Express, was allowed to depart ahead of Mohenjodaro Passenger, delaying our departure by 35 minutes. Once underway, our RGE locomotive broke down three times before reaching Habibkot Junction. Fortunately, two mechanics were travelling onboard and managed to restart the locomotive every time it stalled. At Habibkot Junction, the locomotive reversed direction, and our train changed tracks from ML3 to ML2 before continuing towards Larkana. The route offered beautiful scenery, rural landscapes, and wonderful views that made this my first journey on this railway section a memorable experience. Despite the unexpected incidents, we finally reached Larkana after a delay of 1 hour and 35 minutes.
