ESU 31170 E 03 001 & Marklin 42990 / 42991 Rheingold sets

After a really long wait, I received the ESU 31170 DB E03.001. I receive it missing part of rear panthograph and missing manual and other papers. The model came straight from the dealer in Germany. Although it looks that it was opened before I receive it. ESU, wont send the part. So, I have to send the model back to them. Anyway, I recorded this video before returning the model to be fixed. Over 3 nights I upgraded these “shorties” 42990 and 42991 Rheingold sets. Some interior paint mostly in the dome, “hump” restaurant and cafe lounge cars. Then, I added figurines and replaced the incandescent bulbs with warm white LEDs. Now they are ready for service.
