My God

My God | Faith, Trust & Worship | Christian Scripture Song My God — An Original Christian Worship Song About Knowing God, Trusting His Faithfulness, and Following Jesus Christ** What does it truly mean to call the Lord “My God”? Throughout Scripture, these two simple words express something profound: faith in the living God, personal dependence upon Him, and the recognition that He alone is worthy of our worship, trust, and obedience. “Yahweh is my strength and my shield. My heart has trusted in him, and I am helped.” — Psalm 28:7 (WEB) My God invites us to reflect on the One who created us, sustains us, knows our hearts, and calls us into a relationship with Himself through Jesus Christ. God is not merely someone we turn to when life becomes difficult. He is our Creator, our Lord, our refuge, and the source of our salvation. The Bible does not promise that following God will free us from every hardship. Even faithful believers experience suffering, uncertainty, temptation, and seasons of deep struggle. Yet the Lord remains faithful. David repeatedly called upon God in times of danger and distress. His confidence was not based on his own strength, but on the character and promises of the Lord. “Yahweh is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge.” — Psalm 18:2 (WEB) For Christians, knowing God is inseparable from knowing Jesus Christ. Jesus reveals the Father, offers forgiveness through His sacrificial death, and gives eternal life to those who believe in Him. When the risen Jesus appeared to Thomas, Thomas responded with one of the most powerful declarations of faith recorded in Scripture: “My Lord and my God!” — John 20:28 (WEB) True faith is more than acknowledging that God exists. It means trusting Him, receiving Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, turning from sin, and learning to walk in obedience through the power of the Holy Spirit. We do not follow Christ through our own strength alone. Every day, we need His grace, His guidance, His forgiveness, and His transforming work in our lives. *The central message:* The Lord is worthy of more than our words of praise. He is worthy of our trust, our obedience, our worship, and our entire lives.
