On the red sands of Adria Downs Station in Outback Australia, Lyle Kent discovers a beautifully preserved Bronco Yard. A place that instantly pulls him back to memories of his stock work on outback cattle stations some 60 years ago.
Known as Hazel’s Yard, this timber structure is a living reminder of the old stock camp days... when cattle were brought in before dawn, horses and people worked side-by-side, and cattle branding was a competitive art of precision and grit.
Lyle reflects on the people who built the stock yards, the stockmen who used them, and the deep satisfaction of hard work well done in the heart of the Australian Outback.
👉 A reflective story of Outback tradition, cattle work, and legacy.
