Practice talking about your last weekend in English with this slow, beginner-friendly past simple lesson. Listen to Sarah and Leo, repeat useful sentences, then tell your own weekend story.
Welcome to Day 8 of our 30 Days of Slow English series! Join Sarah as she shares photos from the market, a visit to her sister, lunch, a movie and a walk in the park.
IN THIS LESSON
• Build confidence with English listening and speaking practice.
• Use four past simple verbs: went, visited, had and watched.
• Follow the highlighted words, then repeat aloud during the pauses.
• Describe photos with less help.
• Try four speaking challenges before hearing the example answers.
USEFUL SENTENCES
“I went to the market.”
“Then I visited my sister.”
“We had lunch together.”
“After lunch, we watched a funny movie.”
HOW TO PRACTICE
