Seeing that we as players have the ability to access, and even mod old content that we thought forever lost is just insanely wild. For those who are somehow unacquainted, Sunrise and Dawn are revival projects that have the ability to download and play a backported version of Destiny 2 from the last available update during the Season of Arrivals through Steam. From my understanding, this is such a massive undertaking due to the fact that most (like 99%) of the game's functionality was all handled server-side by Bungie. Any offline installs of D2 would be unable to run. Whether it's just loading a destination, swapping weapons or even selecting a character. (and that's only after figuring out how to get past the start menu) All of this just makes the reconstruction happening here all the more insane to me. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ I was playing through the Dawn client/mod.
