Find links to other videos of ours from Bornholm in the text below In this video, we visit more of the wonderful sights on Bornholm, the Danish Sunshine Island far out on the Baltic Sea. During these days, we stayed in the camper at Hammerhavn, an old fishing harbour with beautiful views of the Baltic Sea, including stunning sunsets and even views of the iconic ruins of Hammershus, a medieval castle ruin which is one of the best-known places on Bornholm. From the harbour, a lot of hiking paths are available here. We walked to and around the Opal Lake, an old granite quarry lake. That was an absolute highlight, walking there in the early morning on a grey day. Earlier, we had also done a short hike on Hammerknuden, the northernmost part of Bornholm, with rough, rocky terrain and views of the Baltic Sea. We enjoyed the lunch buffet at Mrs Petersen's Café with many classic dishes. The rooms are just like you would find them at grandma's home. The final highlight was, of course, Hammershus, a huge medieval ruin high above the sea. We were lucky to be there on a grey day, which offered a suitable scene of the ruins for the brutal history of this place.
