Meet the TALLEST Drop Tower in the World! - Lex Luthor: Drop of Doom

With the recent closure of Kingda Ka and its extra appendage Zumanjaro—the King of drop towers has reclaimed its title at Six Flags Magic Mountain. Lex Luthor: Drop of Doom is once again officially the world’s tallest drop tower. At a horrifying (and I can tell you from multiple experiences), horrifying height of 415 feet, this thing opened in 2012 and is probably the gnarliest 90 seconds you can expect to get out of a drop tower. So with its return, I wanted to make a quick history video on the ride and how it came to be since no one else seems to have done one yet. So what is it? And where did it come from?
