In October 2025, I filmed tram operations in Sofia, Bulgaria, focusing mainly on lines 20 and 23. Line 20 is operated by classic yellow T6B5 trams — robust Eastern European high-floor vehicles that remain a key part of Sofia’s tram network. Line 23, however, offers something far more unique. Here we encounter the rare Düwag GT8 trams — bi-directional articulated vehicles originally built for Bonn, Germany, and later transferred to Bulgaria. These veteran trams bring a distinct Western European character to the Balkan capital and represent a fascinating chapter of second-hand rolling stock history. In this video you will see: • Line 20 with yellow T6B5 trams • Line 23 with ex-Bonn Düwag GT8 units • Street running sections • Urban intersections • Sofia’s distinctive tram infrastructure (1009 mm narrow gauge) • Autumn atmosphere in the Bulgarian capital The contrast between Eastern Bloc-built T6B5 trams and former West German GT8 vehicles makes this area of the network particularly interesting for tram enthusiasts. 📍 Location: Sofia, Bulgaria 📅 Filmed: October 2025 🚋 Lines: 20 & 23 🎥 RailwayRetro – European Tramway Archive — 🌍 Support Railway Retro (no donations needed): https://www.railwayretro.com/support — 📡 Follow RailwayRetro 🎬 YouTube →    / railwayretro   📷 Instagram →   / railway_retro   📖 Facebook →   / railwayretro   🌐 Website → https://www.railwayretro.com — 🚉 Transport playlists 🚆 Trains:    • 🚆 Trains & Railways | Real Railway Operati...   🚋 Trams:    • 🚋 Trams & Light Rail | Urban Rail Transpor...   🚎 Trolleybuses:    • 🚎 Trolleybuses | Electric Urban Transport ...   🚌 Buses:    • 🚌 Buses & Bus Transport | Urban and Region...   🚇 Metro:    • 🚇 Metro & Underground Systems | Trains, St...   #SofiaTram #Tramway #Tram #Duewag #Bulgaria #Sofia #T6B5 #T6
