EBC Trek | Day 05 - Phunki Thanga | Namche to Phunki Thanga | Everest Base Camp Trek with Family

Day 05 of our Everest Base Camp journey takes us from the vibrant mountain town of Namche Bazaar towards the peaceful riverside stop of Phunki Tenga. After an unforgettable acclimatization stay in Namche, we begin trekking deeper into the heart of the Himalayas. This trail gifted us breathtaking mountain views, suspension bridges, pine forests, prayer flags, and the raw beauty of the Khumbu valley. The weather kept changing throughout the journey — from cold winds and cloudy skies to magical clear mountain moments. 📍 Route: Namche Bazaar ➝ Kyangjuma ➝ Sanasa ➝ Phunki Thanga 🥾 Trek Distance: Approx. 10–11 KM ⛰️ Starting Elevation: 3,440 m / 11,286 ft 🏔️ Phunki Thanga Elevation: 3,250 m / 10,663 ft 🌡️ Weather Conditions: Cold mountain breeze, cloudy skies, occasional sunshine, temperature around 2°C to 10°C This was one of the most peaceful and scenic trekking days so far — walking beside rivers, crossing forests, and slowly entering the spiritual side of the Everest trail towards Tengboche.
