Most of us have experienced the loss of a loved one at some point. This song was inspired by a friend of mine who recently lost someone very close to them. From an artistic point of view, this is in some ways a successor to Neon Rain. It takes place in a similar universe. A fantasy version of Miami, where Neon reaches for the skies. The song is about perseverance through insurmountable grief. As if the world feels cold and unfriendly. The story is told through brief glimpses of memory, right before Sabrina (the main character) is about to be swallowed by stormwater that represents her tears and grief. At the last minute, the skies part, and she can move on, having stood firm with the grief. The memory of the loved one forever living through her.
