Jak Bannon - Hold Still, Please (Official Video)

Directed by Jak Bannon This video came from thinking how, as we get older, we forget how to play…and how it’s easy to forget that we’re all part of this game of life. When you see kids playing tag, it makes sense, of course, but when you see adults playing, it’s weird… The goal for this video was to try and mirror the feeling of the song, illustrating that we’re all connected, playing the same game, sometimes we’re winning, sometimes we’re losing, often we’re chasing after something, or running away from “it”. The concept was inspired by the late great, and absolute goat, Frank Budgen, and his commercial for Nike in 2001, “Tag”. I stumbled upon it after struggling with how to show this “connection” in a non corny way, how he created this commercial (please go watch it) became the guiding principle for my video, with a homage in the first 10 seconds or so. I really hope you enjoy, it was made by some of the most amazing people, and it really means the whole world to me. Somebody, somewhere just lost the way Nobody out there will stay the same Cover your ears, please There's a lot not worth hearing Wait 'til it starts to fade Somebody, somewhere feels the same Gotta be something else to blame Try to stay here, please There's a lot not worth missing Thought it might feel that way Try to read between the lines Can't always find them Wouldn't have noticed Try to steal as much time Hold still, please Can't get what you want Replay, what could've happened What you imagine All that you wanted Remember, all that you want to All that you need Somebody, somewhere just lost the way Nobody out there stays the same Cover your ears, please There's a lot not worth hearing Wait 'til it fades away Somebody, somewhere feels the same Gotta be something else to blame Try to stay here, please There's a lot not worth missing I know it might feel that way Try to escape If only you knew It's not like it used to be Where every thought was good to you Could it be fate If only it's true Could've did it before Could've knew it before Director, Editor & Producer / Jak Bannon Executive Producer / Joseph Ragons Director of Photography / Arturo Brunetti 1st Assistant Director / Charles Portier Unit Manager / Pierre Amiard Casting Director / Marion Bovi Camera B Operator / Lorenzo Canci 1st Assistant Camera / Samuel Halfon 2nd Assistant Camera / Marguerite Janniaux Camera C Operator / Albert Oziouls Camera D Operator / Georges Armando Camera E Operator / Dmitry Celte Casting Assistant / Laurelenn Berteaux Production & Casting Assistant / Pénélope Rivoire Animal Wrangler / Chloé Verschueren Catering / Brune Granet Parkour Team / Simon Nogueira & Yoann Leroux Sound Design Team / EarBleed - Viacheslav Sorokin, Artem Shchekoturov, Andrei Poliakov, Danil Komarov, Yan Varabyou Special Thanks 'Martin's Bar' / Loïc Martin 'La Caserne' / Maeva Bessis 'Full Motion' / Maurine Da Costa & Laurent Hannoun 'Mission Cinéma' / Julien Duco & Romain Faisant, Hubert Sanchez Casting ('by order of appearance') 1st Tagger / Mateo Garnier Cafe Girl / Emma Ravier Dog Owner / Prince Kabeya Peeing Guy / Federico Caputo Finance Guy / Alexis Boudrias Car Driver / Jean-Michel Laurent Delivery Driver / Hugo Fernandes Pied Loving Girlfriend / Margaux Lenot Loving Boyfriend / Maxim Ansselin Juking Guy / Yusuf Lawal Escalator Guy / Quentin Favrié Metro Bench Guy / Noé Lüne Parkour Team / Simon Nogueira & Yoann Leroux Park Bench Guy / Jak Bannon Extras Alexandra Richter⏐Alexis Sageot⏐Alicia Bader⏐Amaury Lochou Hilary⏐Blanche G⏐Burhan Khan⏐Simon Buse⏐Camille Desarthe⏐Cédric Peralma⏐Chiara Savasta⏐Constance Suquet⏐Dorian Pénaguin⏐Duncan Cantuel⏐Ellen⏐Emma Billetorte⏐Étienne Bourdaud⏐Fabrice Tyack⏐Florian Dit Robaglia⏐Franck Badia⏐Fred Boulogne⏐Frédéric Sandorhazy⏐Gabin Ducourant⏐Gianni Gaffino⏐Gokhan Ondeyer⏐Grégory Kristoforoff⏐Mathieu Guyot⏐Hugo Bourgeois⏐Jessica Charles⏐Jo Prida⏐Joévan Sehans⏐Jolanta Zajkowska⏐Josué Vikitoma⏐Laurie Dosiere⏐Lou Fouchard⏐Lou Mokoski⏐Louis Metal⏐Louis Spay⏐Louise Le Roux⏐Luka Ziobakaite⏐Luke Bessette⏐Maeva Bongage⏐Malena Jaiser⏐Mathis⏐Matteo Salsarulo⏐Maya Foucal⏐Mehdi Marliot⏐Melanie Haubert⏐Mathis Meteau⏐Miriam Medic⏐Noémie Montazel⏐Nathalie Guéguen⏐Nathalie Nyoung⏐Niels Schack⏐Olivia Bocchialini⏐Oren Vidal-Nordmann⏐Patricia Boulogne⏐Pauline Rousseau⏐Raïssa Abdallah⏐Remi Rasamison⏐Riccardo De Totero⏐Roumain Sola⏐Sara Canosa⏐Sébastien Fula-Pitu⏐Steven Bergese⏐Sylvain Baumann⏐Kevin Tehe⏐Théo Cordel⏐Vincent Acheriteguy⏐Vincent Goscisniak | also thanks to Gibson Hazard, he was in a scene, but didn't make the cut...
