Keisha Bottoms Puts ICE in Focus | Georgia's Incoming Governor Plans Talks With Other States |VERTEX

Georgia governor-elect Keisha Lance Bottoms says her administration will make the state's approach to US Immigration and Customs Enforcement a key topic of discussion as she prepares to take office in January. Speaking at a post-election news conference, Bottoms said Georgia should uphold its reputation as a welcoming state and adopt immigration policies that are humane and respectful. She described the state's approach to ICE as a major priority and said she would speak with governors across the country to learn how they have navigated immigration issues with the Trump administration. Bottoms said she did not currently see any proposed legislation that gave her immediate cause for concern, but indicated that her administration would determine its course after those discussions. #KeishaLanceBottoms #ICE #ImmigrationPolicy #GeorgiaPolitics #TrumpAdministration _______________________________ Welcome to VERTEX – Your Hub for Global Politics, Geopolitics & International News VERTEX brings you in-depth analysis, breaking updates, and expert insights on the world’s most critical political and geopolitical developments.
