I tried to edit a longer video to capture my stay at the Silk Lakehouse. Ever since I found out about the hotel, I've been meaning to check it out because it is one of Shangri-la's latest addition to their luxury signature series. Photos and videos of the place looks so gorgeous, both the environment nestled by the Westlake, and the chinoiserie interior. Hangzhou as a city truly looks like it walked out of a watercolour painting. It was a shame it rained the entire weekend I was staying by the Westlake but the experience at the Silk Lakehouse fully made up for it. And in fact, even if it wasn't raining, I might have voluntarily stayed at the hotel. They organise a number of activities throughout the day from taichi in the morning to cultural classes and tea appreciation workshops. The food was also spectacular. The one thing I didnt try and wish I did was the afternoon tea set. I don't really have a sweet tooth so I probably wouldn't have been able to finish 3 tiers of pastries and cakes. But I did hear that it's really good. Maybe next time. The hotel honestly isn't very big. They don't have a lot of rooms which I think helps with feel more private and looked after. They do have a very well equipped gym, sauna and spa as you see from the video. The pool was also nice but I wasn't used to swimming with a swimming cap (it's a requirement across China for hygiene purposes which totally makes sense!) If I had to pick a favourite spot at the hotel outside of the room, it would be either the sauna or the bar. Honestly the cocktails are spot on and well made. But the room truly is the winner, from a very very comfortable bed, a good size tub refreshed daily with flower bath petals and a fully stocked mini bar with the best selection of alcohol in your own room, you really don't need to step out. I would come back here just to relax for a couple days if I'm ever back in Hangzhou. Perhaps bring my parents along. 我试着剪辑了一支更长的视频，记录我在丝绸湖舍酒店入住的时光。自从得知这家酒店后，我就一直想亲自来看看，因为它是香格里拉旗下最新加入奢华甄选系列的酒店之一。这里的照片和视频看起来都美得惊人：无论是依傍西湖的环境，还是充满中式风情的室内设计，都令人心动。杭州这座城市，真的仿佛从一幅水彩画中走出来一样。 遗憾的是，我住在西湖边的整个周末都在下雨；不过，丝绸湖舍的体验完全弥补了这一点。事实上，就算没有下雨，我可能也会心甘情愿地待在酒店里。酒店从早到晚安排了不少活动，包括清晨的太极、文化课程和品茶工作坊。餐饮也同样令人惊艳。 唯一我没有尝试、现在有点后悔的，就是下午茶套餐。我其实不太爱吃甜食，大概也吃不完三层架上的点心和蛋糕；不过我听说它真的很不错。也许下次吧。 说实话，酒店并不算大，客房数量也不多。我觉得这反而让人感觉更私密，也更受到悉心照顾。正如视频里所见，酒店配备了设施齐全的健身房、桑拿房和水疗中心。泳池也不错，只是我还不太习惯戴着泳帽游泳——这在中国各地出于卫生考虑都是一项要求，完全可以理解！ 如果要选出房间以外我最喜欢的地方，那会是桑拿房或酒吧。说真的，这里的鸡尾酒调得非常到位，制作也很讲究。不过，真正的赢家还是客房本身：从极其舒适的床、每天都会撒上花瓣的宽敞浴缸，到备货充足的迷你吧（里面有全套精选酒水），你真的完全不需要出门。如果我再来杭州，我一定会回来住几天放松一下。也许还会带上我的父母再次体验水知心居。 📽️ all video footage are taken by me. please do not reproduce without asking for permission 📽️ 所有视频片段都是由我拍摄的。请在未获得许可的情况下不要复制。
