In April 2025, the company successfully commissioned a 4.8 MW wind‐power project at its Thatta plant, bringing its total eco-friendly generation capacity to 9.8 MW alongside the existing 5 MW solar installation. The additional clean electricity generated by the wind turbines is now being supplied to local farmers, boosting agricultural productivity and strengthening rural livelihoods. To further reduce its carbon footprint, Thetha Cement has also installed a 5 MW waste‐heat recovery system that converts the factory’s excess heat into electricity. Proudly using 100 percent domestically sourced coal, Thetha Cement not only supports Pakistan’s energy security but also conserves precious foreign exchange.
