In today’s video, we’re cooking up a storm in the kitchen! Daddy decides to test out a no-flour, high-protein chocolate cake experiment while we whip up some breakfast-for-supper (sausage & eggs) and a refreshing iced Maple Cream Matcha. Plus, we take a fun family weekend walk! Did the cake turn out, or did it turn into a sauce? Watch to find out! 😂 🍫 High-Protein Chocolate Cake Experiment Note: This was a fun kitchen experiment! It baked into a texture right between a brownie and a cake. We recommend adding a splash of maple syrup or sweetener to the batter if you like it sweeter! Batter Ingredients: 1/2 cup chocolate protein powder 1/2 cup 100% cocoa powder 1/2 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp baking soda 1 ripe banana, mashed 2 eggs 1/2 cup buttermilk Optional: crushed chocolate cookies or chocolate chips Peanut Butter Whipped Topping / Sauce: 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream 2 tbsp natural peanut butter Dash of pure maple syrup Instructions: Whisk the dry ingredients (protein powder, cocoa powder, baking powder, and baking soda) together in a bowl. Mash the banana and mix in the eggs and buttermilk. Combine the wet and dry ingredients until smooth. Fold in cookie pieces or chocolate chips if desired. Pour into a greased dish and bake at 350°F for about 20 minutes until set. Whip heavy cream, peanut butter, and maple syrup together until thick. (Tip: Let the cake cool first or pour it on warm for a melted peanut butter chocolate sauce!) 🍵 Homemade Maple Cream Matcha Base Ingredients: 1 cup coconut water 1/2 tbsp matcha powder Ice Splash of half and half Sweetened Maple Cream Foam: 2–3 tbsp half and half (or heavy cream) 1 tbsp pure maple syrup Instructions: Froth the coconut water and matcha powder together until well blended. Fill a glass with ice, pour the matcha mix over the ice, and add a small splash of half and half. Froth the half and half (or heavy cream) with maple syrup in a separate cup until thick and foamy. Pour the maple cold foam right over the top and enjoy! ⏱️ TIMESTAMPS: 00:00 - Breakfast for Supper (Sausage & Eggs) 01:55 - Mixing the High-Protein Cake Batter 05:40 - Making Peanut Butter Whipped Cream 08:50 - The Cake Taste Test! 09:47 - How to Make Iced Maple Cream Matcha 12:00 - Family Weekend Outing Thanks for watching and supporting Moss Family Kitchen!
