Corner Canyon Football is BACK. The Chargers opened the 2026 season with a statement, defeating Davis 51–14 in a matchup between two of Utah’s top-ranked teams. Davis struck first and held an early 6–0 lead, but Corner Canyon responded in a big way. The Chargers went on to score 44 unanswered points, turning a competitive first half into a dominant season-opening victory. Quarterback Jaxon Pehrson helped lead the charge through the air and on the ground, including an explosive 82-yard touchdown run in the third quarter. Corner Canyon’s defense and special teams got in on the scoring as well, with James Bowman recording a safety and Josh Harris returning the ensuing free kick 68 yards for a touchdown. The Chargers poured it on in the third quarter and eventually triggered a running clock before finishing off the 51–14 win.
