AI Awareness Project: Academic Integrity, Learning Outcomes & Assignment Design AU Faculty Workshop

How can instructors respond thoughtfully to the growing use of generative AI in higher education? In this American University faculty workshop, Alison Thomas, Assistant Dean for Academic Integrity, and Katherine Mahajan, Instructional Technology and AI Manager at the Center for Faculty Excellence, explore how faculty can become more “AI-aware” in their teaching. The session examines student use of generative AI tools, including both intentional misuse and responsible academic applications.
