The source was eventually traced to Greenland’s remote Dickson Fjord, where 25 million cubic metres of rock and ice had collapsed into the water. The landslide produced a mega-tsunami reaching about 200 metres near the impact site. But the most extraordinary part came next: water trapped inside the narrow fjord kept moving back and forth in a phenomenon called a seiche.
