On Wednesday, Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary visited the flood-affected Terasia and Sarapur panchayats in Vaishali district. He did not merely gather information about the flood situation from officials; he went directly among the villagers and interacted with them. The Chief Minister asked the villagers directly whether the relief amount of ₹7,000 had reached their accounts. A mixed picture emerged here. Some villagers informed the Chief Minister that the money had already been credited to their bank accounts, while others stated that they had not yet received the relief amount. Following this, the Chief Minister spoke to the officials present on-site and issued instructions to resolve the issues of those who had not received the funds. Now, the most important information is for those families who have not yet received the ₹7,000. The Chief Minister stated that if any eligible flood-affected family has been left out, they can register a complaint on the 'Sahyog' portal. Instructions have been issued to initiate the process of transferring the funds within 24 hours of receiving a complaint. In other words, if you are eligible and the money has not yet arrived, it is crucial to register a complaint rather than simply waiting. The government is also striving to ensure that information about this entire system reaches flood-affected people in every village. Preparations are underway to make announcements in villages to inform people about who is eligible for the relief amount and where to lodge a complaint if the money is not received. Another issue, which sparked considerable discussion, also came to light during the Chief Minister's visit to Vaishali. In Saraypur Panchayat, some villagers accused a local public representative of engaging in party politics regarding the distribution of relief. The villagers urged the Chief Minister to ensure there is no discrimination in flood relief and that assistance reaches all affected families. Responding to the villagers' complaints, the Chief Minister clearly stated that party politics should play no role in relief operations. The Chief Minister remarked that the hardships caused by floods are not limited to any single family or section of society; when floodwaters enter a home, everyone faces the crisis. Therefore, relief must reach all eligible affected families. He further emphasized that the distribution of relief would not be influenced by voting choices or political affiliations; relief is entirely independent of electoral politics. During his visit to Vaishali, the Chief Minister assessed the ground reality in flood-affected areas, listened to the grievances of local residents, and directed officials to take necessary action.
