Sunil Bachung has issued a clarification following the circulation of a viral video involving Miss Arunachal contestant Karbom Taipodia, urging people not to draw conclusions based on a one-sided account of the matter. In his statement, Bachung said that he and his former wife were legally divorced on May 13, 2026, and had been living separately for the past eight months. “I’m requesting everyone not to go for one-sided stories,” he said, appealing to social media users to hear both sides before forming an opinion. Addressing the issue of alimony, Bachung stated that he was fulfilling his obligations in accordance with the agreement between them. He also alleged that the image of Karbom Taipodia had been deliberately affected by his former wife, claiming that he possessed a voice recording as evidence to support his allegation. Bachung further stated that both his children were living with him, as agreed upon between the parties. He appealed to social media users and online trolls not to judge the matter based on one-sided narratives and urged people to consider his clarification before reaching any conclusions.
