Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 2 - Kira Yamato Story Mission 5 | A Future Before the Battle

Alright! This stage actually plays like a proper stage. I mean, it STILL has some randomized officers and a severe lack of unique dialogue but it actually plays out more like a proper stage should. Our goal is to protect Gryps II from Scirocco and Char's forces. They both send engineers to try to get inside of it and fire it, so you'll want to stop those. Meanwhile, the enemy officers such as Haman will attempt to rush to it to take it over the old fashion way. Athrun will hold off some of them, but he starts to struggle before too long. Afterwords, Quess will appear in the Alpha Azieru inside Gryps II, automatically taking it over. Now you have a 10 minute timer to get inside and defeat her in order to take back the field before it fires. After that, Scirocco and Char will appear as enemy commanders of their forces. Defeat them both and then the final commander, Shinn, will appear. There's actually a cutscene for fighting Shinn. One nice touch is that when Kira does his beam spam, he targets the limbs of all the enemies rather than the torso. In series, that's how he fights so he avoids killing as many people as possible. He takes it up to 11 in SEED Destiny where he just dismantles the main cast in a flash while never going for a killing blow, which he does while using his beam saber for some of them so you can't just chalk it up to his Gundam's targeting system doing all the work. He's essentially always holding back yet still wrecks most of his opponents. You can complain about his want for pacifism all you want, but you have to admit that takes some skill. Anyways, Shinn is buffed up but we've dealt with worse in Official Mode. Nothing special to fighting him. With his defeat, we'll have finished Kira's story missions in Mission Mode.
