You Were Never Meant to Do This Alone

There is a deep hunger for genuine community in our world today, and the statistics are striking: millions of people report loneliness, disconnection, and a lack of meaningful relationships even in an age of unprecedented digital connection. But this sermon invites us to look beneath the surface and ask why that hunger exists in the first place. The answer points us to the very nature of God himself. The Trinity, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, exists in eternal, loving community, with each person giving glory to the others. Because we are made in the image of that God, we are wired for the same kind of deep, selfless connection. Drawing from Acts 2, we explore what the first century church actually looked like when the gospel took root in real people living real lives together. Five marks stand out: liberating grace, authentic relationships, fervent prayer, courageous community, and a commitment to living as everyday missionaries. Each one flows naturally into the next, forming a picture of a community transformed not by good intentions but by the power of what Christ has done for us.
