Joe Lacob Has Built Something Special

Joe Lacob just added another championship to his collection. The Golden State Valkyries are the 2026 WNBA champions, which gives Lacob five titles in a little over a decade. That’s five parades for the Bay Area, across Oakland and San Francisco. In this segment, the hosts make the case that it’s time to stop the clown memes and give Lacob the credit he’s earned. Lacob took a brand-new WNBA franchise and turned it into a champion in only its second season. The hosts compare the Valkyries’ rise to the Vegas Golden Knights, one of the only other teams to find this kind of success so quickly. They also explain how Ballhalla became one of the best atmospheres in sports, with a crowd that feels more like a festival than a game. Finals MVP Gabby Williams personally thanks “Mr. Joe” for his investment in the team and the community it represents.
