How do you move a flock of sheep from pasture to pasture without permanently fencing every grazing area? At Viva Greens, we use temporary electric fencing to divide our pasture into smaller sections and rotate the sheep as grazing conditions change. In this video, we show how the sectional fence works, why we move the flock, how pasture recovery fits into the system, and the role our livestock guardian dog plays as the sheep move from one area to another. The basic system is simple: Temporary fence → sheep graze → pasture rests → flock moves → guardian dog moves with them. Rotational grazing is another part of the larger system we’re developing at Viva Greens, alongside our hydroponic greenhouse, mushrooms, chickens, gardens, and other farm projects. If you enjoy seeing how real farm systems are built and operated, subscribe and continue watching how Viva Greens develops. #RotationalGrazing #Sheep #LivestockGuardianDog #ElectricFence #TexasFarm #VivaGreens 00:00 Why we move the sheep 00:45 Rotational grazing 01:00 Temporary electric fencing 01:30 Moving the flock 02:00 Our livestock guardian dog 02:45 How the system works together 03:35 Life at Viva Greens
