James Webb Studied a Planet Like Earth… And What It Found Is Beyond Imagination

NASA's James Webb Space Telescope studied a distant planet remarkably similar to Earth and the observations are revealing just how different an alien world can be. Webb is giving astronomers an unprecedented look at exoplanet atmospheres, allowing scientists to search for molecules, gases, clouds, and other clues about how distant worlds formed and evolved. Recent observations of Earth-sized rocky planets such as TRAPPIST-1 d have shown that being similar in size to Earth does not necessarily mean having an Earth-like atmosphere. So what happens when James Webb turns its powerful instruments toward a potentially Earth-like world? Could its atmosphere resemble our own? Could it have conditions completely unlike anything on Earth? In this video, we explore what Webb can actually reveal about distant rocky planets, what scientists discovered, and what these observations could mean for the search for potentially habitable worlds beyond our Solar System. #JamesWebb #NASA #Exoplanets #EarthLikePlanet #Space
